Can I copy recipes from the Internet?

Yes, there are two ways to copy recipes from the Internet. The first method uses Living Cookbook's web browser to browse to the desired recipe and then download it. The second method uses Living Cookbook's recipe capture feature.

Find and download a recipe from the Internet using everylastrecipe.com

  1. Run Living Cookbook 2015.
  2. Select the Internet Navigator.
  3. Type www.everylastrecipe.com in the address box of Living Cookbook's web browser.
  4. Click the Go button  or press the return key.
  5. Type the search query (e.g. Pot Roast) in everylastrecipe's search box and click the Search button.
  6. Click on one of the recipe links in the everylastrecipe results.
  7. A download prompt should appear at the top of the webpage. Click the down arrow on theDownload button on the download prompt.
  8. Select Download To... from the menu that appears below the Download button.
  9. Select (or create) a cookbook and chapter for your recipe.
  10. Click OK to close the Select Cookbook or Chapter window and start the download.

Find and download a recipe from the Internet without using everylastrecipe.com

  1. Run Living Cookbook 2015
  2. Select the Internet Navigator.
  3. Type the URL of your favorite recipe website (e.g. www.allrecipes.com) in the address box of Living Cookbook's web browser.
  4. Browse for and view a recipe that you would like to download.
  5. If the recipe is one of the more than two million available for one-click download, a download prompt should appear at the top of the webpage. Click the down arrow on the Download button on the download prompt.
  6. Select Download To... from the menu that appears below the Download button.
  7. Select (or create) a cookbook and chapter for your recipe.
  8. Click OK to close the Select Cookbook or Chapter window and start the download.

Copy a recipe from the Internet using recipe capture

  1. Use a web browser to locate the recipe that you want to copy to Living Cookbook.
  2. Select and then copy the text of the recipe.
  3. Run Living Cookbook 2015.
  4. Select the Recipe Navigator.
  5. Browse the cookbooks and chapters and select the cookbook or chapter where you want put the copied recipe.
  6. On the Action menu, point to Other Actions and click Capture Recipe.
  7. Right-click on the capture box (the empty text box) and, on the popup menu, click Paste.
  8. Select the recipe name.
  9. Click the Recipe Name button. The recipe name will be copied to the Recipe name box on the Recipe tab and the recipe name text will be highlighted to indicate that you have captured the recipe name.
  10. Select the recipe ingredients.
  11. Click the Ingredients button. The recipe ingredients will be copied to the Ingredients tab and the recipe ingredient text will be highlighted to indicate that you have captured the recipe ingredients.
  12. Note  You can capture one recipe ingredient at a time or do them all at once.
  13. Repeat steps 10 and 11 for the remaining recipe elements.
  14. Click OK.
